The costume is based on the current version of the Winged Wonder. The helmet does look a lot better than the one that was worn by Bill Nuckols on the 1979's tv special, Legends of the Superheroes:

Halloween Countdown 2009 Day 23: Cap'n Crunch's Halloween Crunch

I bought a box of Cap'n Crunch's Halloween Crunch a few weeks ago when it was on sale at the local Wally World. The jolly cereal captain was wrapped up like a mummy on the front of the box. The so-called ghosts were more like round blobs than actual shapes. The milk did turn a light green but the effect worked best in a red bowl. The back of the cereal box was the real treat since it had Cap'n Crunch's Haunted Mansion filled with games like word search and scrambled letters. Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, donned a black wig of a different kind (she's a redhead by the way). The picture by Austin Young was just one of those on display in the "Bettie Page Heaven Bound: A Celebration of the Life of Bettie Page" exhibit at LA's World of Wonder Storefront Gallery throughout the month of May, 2009. This proves that she is still hot at fifty-eight.

Dark Shadows Comics To Be In Complete Collection

Hermes Press will be publishing all thirty-five issues of Gold Key's Dark Shadows comic series based on the popular tv soap opera from the 1960s in five deluxe full-color hardcover editions. According to ICV2's The Complete Dark Shadows Comics, the first issue will be released in March 2010. Each edition will have seven issues plus extra likes poster art, pin-ups and more.
